The end of ‘Super Me’.

How quarantine is changing the pressures we place on our image.

People are letting go of their perfect super-selves in favor of relaxed self-acceptance.

“Since I already have gone so off track, there is no way to come back [...] One positive from this is I have learned to just accept myself!”

Instagram has become more casual. People aren't posting as many "try hard" "posey" pictures that they used to.

While many strive for self-acceptance, there seems to be a sort of balancing act.

“I do feel a sense of guilt for not using this time more productively to improve my health and looks.”

“I’ve got quite a bit of weight to lose... but banana bread.”

One thing is clear, their self-image is something that will be affected post COVID-19.

“I never just stopped and appreciated what I was. I think that is one positive I am going to take with me once this is all over!!”
