The kids might be alright.

Depending on their age, our kids are faring differently during the pandemic.

With the younger ones, the focus is on  keeping them busy -- either learning or entertained.

“Before Covid-19, my daughter and I would be present in most kid-related activities in town. Right now, we are focused on getting the schoolwork done, watching television and taking Snapchats together.”

“We've had to put a lock on the pantry door because our kids eat so much, and steal the quarantine snacks. I have an inkling that our ten year old knows where [the key] is.”

Older teens are finding more time to bond with family over the things they love.

For the most part, it seems the kids are alright, but some worry about the future they might have to live in.

“I am trying hard to be patient- with my kids and with the tremendous uncertainty that exists [...]  I believe I will be “ok”…but my kids won’t be ok if they have to inherit a country that is so imbalanced.”
