Love in times of Corona.
Stay-at-home orders have put some relationships to the test.
Stay-at-home orders have put some relationships to the test.
“We do not see things the same way. [...] He thinks I am exaggerating when I make him wash hands a million times, [...]He is getting better but I still need to be watching him.”
“There is much less privacy- or alone time- in a situation like this…. thus not much to ignite a spark.”
For others, it’s been an opportunity for a relationship refresh.
“My husband and I are living more "symbiotically" than we ever have. He's not working, and neither am I (because we can't find any) and that has turned into us cooking, cleaning and managing the kids together all the time.”
“After [playing video games], we usually get on the phone or facetime. Makes the relationship feel like high school relationship where you are on the phone late at night as if you’re never going to see them again.”
“I believe this situation while not ideal is the perfect time to get to truly know each other and learn more about the type of partner you are and want to be.”
For those who date, some adapt while others opt to wait.
“I’m just focusing on myself for the time being. I don't want to go near anyone until this is definitely over.”
“I date by face timing with the other person while we both share a meal. Not by choice, because I think video calls get kind of old after a while [...] I had a meet up (which now I realize was a date) at a fruit stand. We were 6 ft away [...] We're going to try and meet again, next time at the supermarket or post office.”
